RubiksCu.be terms of use in plain words: the tools are free, there is no warranty, do not copy our code or text, and trademarks belong to their owners.
An independent cubing project. RubiksCu.be is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any brand or cube maker, and in particular not by Rubik's Brand Ltd or Spin Master, who own the Rubik's trademarks. On this site, "Rubik's Cube" is used as the everyday name for 3x3x3 cube puzzles in general, of any brand.
These are the rules for using RubiksCu.be. They are short because the site is simple: you play, we do not charge, and we both act in good faith.
Free to use
Every tool and article on this site is free for personal use, at home, in a club or in a classroom. You do not need an account. We pay for the site with ads. In Europe they use cookies only after you agree in the cookie banner; the privacy policy explains the details. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.
No warranty
We test the solver, the timer and the algorithms with care, but we cannot promise they are free of errors. The site is given "as is". If a solution does not work on your cube, or a time is lost, we are sorry, but we are not liable for it. Please tell us so we can fix it.
Our code and text
The text, pictures, design and code of this site belong to us. You may link to any page, quote a few sentences with a link back, and print a page for yourself or your class. Please do not copy whole pages, the algorithm tables or the JavaScript to another site. The scripts, stylesheets and the solver engines are proprietary: you may not copy, redistribute, modify, decompile or reverse engineer them, in whole or in part, or use them to build another site or app, without our written permission. Algorithms themselves are common knowledge and belong to no one; our wording, code and players do.
Trademarks and no affiliation
"Rubik's Cube" and "Rubik's" are registered trademarks of their owner. RubiksCu.be is an independent site. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or connected to Spin Master, Rubik's Brand Ltd, or any maker or seller of cube puzzles, and nothing on this site is approved by them.
Where this site says "Rubik's Cube", it means the general type of puzzle: any 3x3x3 twisty cube, from any brand or no brand at all. The name is used only to describe the puzzle in the way people commonly refer to it, never to suggest that a tool, article or product here comes from or is backed by the trademark owner. The same applies to any brand name that appears in an article; it belongs to its owner and is used only to identify a product. Other names on the site, such as WCA or YouTube, belong to their owners too.
Links to other sites
Articles link to outside pages such as the Ruwix cubing wiki and the World Cube Association. We pick them because they are useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for what they show. The same goes for ads: the ad partner picks what you see, within the rules we set.
Fair use of the site
Please do not try to break the site, flood our mailbox or scrape the pages with bots. Use the site as a person would. That is all we ask.
Changes
We may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the bottom shows the last change. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
